The TadPole™ is designed to supplement your traditional roof top racks for long, wind-resistant car loads. The TadPole™ is a steel constructed vehicle rack that actually rests on the top of your trunk, solely for the purpose of supporting Roof-Top Carry. The height is adjusted to match the height of your traditional Roof-Top Racks. A 1/2" thick, Medium-Density, Scratch Resistant, Closed-Cell Sponge, on the base of the TadPoleT™, along with vinyl coated J-hooks and plastic Cam Buckles, help to protect your vehicle from metal on metal contact. Many of us are driving smaller cars, but still have big toys. Stand-up PaddleBoards, long Surf Boards, and Kayaks often extend well beyond the traditional roof rack systems. (As do ladders, lumber, pipe, conduit, and many other weekend pick-ups.) This creates stress at the object's point of contact with the traditional rack systems. The TadPole™ simply supplements your traditional roof-top system, allowing you to offset the position of the load you are carrying, which lowers the front wind-resistance you typically experience when traveling at higher speeds. It also prevents the up & down flex you see with longer objects. If you own a Longboard, Stand-up Paddleboard, Kayak, Wind Surfing equipment, or carry anything that hangs over your rooftop racks, you know about stress and vibration.
